Earl Warren Solicitor General Fellowship
One participant in the Attorney General’s Honors Program will be selected for a fellowship in the California Solicitor General's Office. The Solicitor General handles a wide variety of civil, public-rights and criminal cases before the state and federal appellate and supreme courts. As a fellow in this office, you will have the opportunity to work on appellate cases addressing constitutional questions and major public-policy concerns in diverse areas of civil and criminal law. We expect that the Warren Fellow will have the opportunity to argue at least one appellate case in state or federal court. Additionally, the Warren Fellow will advise the Attorney General on participation as an amicus curiae in high-profile cases. Applicants to the Solicitor General program must have clerkship experience with the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court or a Federal Court of Appeals. The applicant selected for the Earl Warren Solicitor General Fellowship will be based in San Francisco.
