Attorney General Bill Lockyer Issues Statement Regarding Shooting at North Valley Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles

Attorney General Bill Lockyer issued the following statement regarding today's shooting at the North Valley Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles:

"My heart and prayers go out to the victims of today's senseless shooting and their families. This shocking act of gun violence has once again shaken the sense of safety that ought to belong to all Californians, especially parents. I have offered the assistance of my office to the local law enforcement agencies working to solve this contemptible crime. The protection and safety of our children is our highest priority and the law enforcement community will not rest until the individual who committed this crime is arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
