Course Description - This 40-hour course is for experienced peace officers who investigate homicide and violent crimes and who currently have and are willing to share unsolved cases. Along with an application, the student must submit a brief summary of the case and why it should be considered for possible inclusion. These summaries must be submitted eight weeks prior to the course.
Who Should Attend - Peace officers currently assigned to investigate homicide/coroner cases.
Course Objectives - Upon completion of this course, students will have worked through many cold cases and have the resources and knowledge necessary to decide possible courses of action which may move a case from an inactive status to an active investigation and possible resolution.
