Live Scan Locations
All Live Scan fingerprinting services are “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” in COVID-19.
As such, the DOJ is implementing a new fingerprint capture method for Live Scan sites called “FLATS on APPS” in order to reduce the amount of time and physical contact between the applicant and the live scan operator while continuing to provide fingerprint based background checks to California citizens in need of employment, licensing or certification. FLATS on APPS is a fingerprint capture capture method that allows the live scan device to submit flat impressions of an applicant’s fingerprints rather than rolled impressions.
Attention: Do not enter any live scan facility if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, trouble breathing, etc.), are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, or have been advised to self-quarantine.
