SACRAMENTO – California Attorney General Xavier Becerra released the following statement today, following Governor Jerry Brown’s signing of SB 54, the California Values Act:

"I applaud the Legislature and Governor Brown for their work to enact the California Values Act (SB 54 by Senate President Pro Tempore Kevin de León). California is determined to utilize all the talent and energy that have made us the economic engine for the country and the sixth-largest standalone economy in the world. I stand ready to fully defend the law."
