FRESNO – Attorney General Kamala D. Harris today issued the following statement on the death of Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Rod Lucas, who died while on duty:

"On behalf of the California Department of Justice, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Fresno County Sheriff's Sergeant Rod Lucas, who died yesterday while on duty. Sergeant Lucas bravely served the Fresno County Sheriff's Office for 20 years and his service will never be forgotten."
