Brown Addresses Golden Badge Awards Ceremony in Orange County
IRVINE -- Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. tonight will give the welcoming address at the Golden Badge Foundation’s Eighth Annual Awards Ceremony in Orange County.
The Golden Badge Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the widows and children of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the citizens of California. The foundation hosts an annual awards banquet to honor law enforcement and civilians for “heroic acts of bravery and deeds that improve the safety and quality of life in California.”
At tonight’s event, nearly 30 law enforcement personnel and civic leaders will receive a Golden Badge Award.

WHEN: Friday, October 29, 2010 at 6 p.m. Reception from 6 to 7 p.m. Attorney General Brown will give the welcoming address at 7:15 p.m.
