SACRAMENTO – California Attorney General issued the following statement on the passing of former Congressman and Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums:

“Saddened to learn of the passing of friend and former Oakland Mayor and Representative Ron Dellums. Ron always stood tall and never retreated from his values. His courage gave you courage. His experiences and perseverance gave you hope. Ron knew what it meant to be an American.”
