Course Description - This 40-hour course instructs peace officers in the use, maintenance and selection of covert surveillance equipment. This course includes a night time exercise.
NOTE: If available at the time of the course of instruction, the attendees will respond to an actual indoor marijuana grow site that has been seized by law enforcement to conduct actual assessment of the health hazards that may be present and develop an appropriate plan of action for safely dismantling the site.
Who Should Attend - Officers who are assigned surveillance responsibilities.
Course Objectives - Upon completion of this course, the student will have a working knowledge of various types of surveillance equipment and techniques; will understand the capabilities and limitations of the equipment; and will be acquainted with problems inherent to covert surveillance.
