Mandated Reporter

Your Legal Duty - Reporting Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse

California’s elder and dependent adults have the right to receive quality care and be treated with dignity. Too often while residing in nursing homes and other care facilities, out of the sight of the general public, they are the victim of neglect and abuse by those trusted with their care. You can be part of the solution or part of the problem. If you see abuse, report! As a mandated reporter, it’s your legal duty.

This video and written curriculum are designed for mandated reporters under section 15630 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.
