Mission

The Victims’ Services Unit (VSU) is dedicated to serving, and empowering victims and survivors and their families, and connecting them with relevant and tailored resources.

Our Work:

  • Providing victim-centered and trauma-informed responses and services to all victims, survivors, and their families.
  • Recognizing that every victim, survivor, and their family deserves to be heard, believed, and supported through their journey navigating the criminal justice system.
  • Connecting victims, survivors, and families with resources and services that meet their needs.

Victim Notification Request for Criminal Appeal Status

If you are a victim of crime or the victim's next of kin, parent, guardian or family member, you have the right to be notified of the status and outcome of the offender’s criminal appeal. The Attorney General's Victims' Services Unit can help you by providing status updates and answering questions about the appellate criminal justice proceedings.
