Confidentiality of Donor Information

The Supervision of Trustees and Fundraisers for Charitable Purposes Act (Title 11, Chapters 4 and 15, Sections 310, 312, and 999.1), Confidentiality of Donor Information

The Attorney General has submitted proposed amendments to California Code of Regulations, Title 11, Sections 310, 312, and 999.1, related to the registration and reporting requirements of the Act. The proposed amendments to sections 310 and 999.1 codify the Attorney General’s practice to exempt donor information from public disclosure. The proposed amendments to section 312 clarify that registration and renewal fees will be used by the Registry to enforce its registration and reporting provisions, as set forth in Government Code section 12587.1, subdivision (d).
